Nicole Burke, Wine Director for all restaurants in the Stock & Bones Company, is one of San Francisco’s top wine and spirits professionals. Nicole has been recognized for outstanding performance by the James Beard Foundation and honored with Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence. Jordan McKay, who has written for Gourmet, The New York Times, L.A. Times and is the current Food Editor of 7x7 Magazine, states: “she has a marvelous sense of style…. I love what she does…,” and internationally renowned Master Sommelier Evan Goldstein has called her “undeniably one of the finest wine directors….” Earlier in her career, Nicole was presciently named by the San Francisco Chronicle as one of the Bay Area’s “Up and Coming Sommeliers.”
Before taking on her role at Stock & Bones, Nicole earned accolades for the wine program she directed at Pat Kuleto’s Epic Roasthouse. Prior to that, she worked first as Wine Director for Gary Danko’s highly regarded Viognier Restaurant and then as Beverage Director for the Garibaldi Restaurant Group. In addition to her restaurant duties, Nicole serves as a member of the San Francisco Chronicle’s Wine Section Tasting Panel, and regularly contributes features to Patterson’s Beverage Journal.
